Besp-Oak NZ is a wholly owned subsidiary of Joblin Holdings Ltd., established in 1977.

Frustrated at the lack of quality solid wood furniture available in NZ at reasonable pricing, principal director Chris Joblin decided to investigate importing a quality product himself. The challenge was to find a product that was well designed and well made, but that would offer real value by competing in price with the more generic, “disposable” products now so commonplace in NZ.  That came about after a chance meeting in Vietnam several years ago with the owner of Besp-Oak furniture UK. Ultimately this lead to Joblin Holdings Ltd being appointed NZ distributor for Besp-Oak, the United Kingdom’s number one brand of solid oak furniture.

From relatively small beginnings, Besp-Oak NZ has grown to a substantial family operated business now employing Chris’s niece Stephanie as General Manager.  Besp-Oak NZ started out in Pukekohe however has recently expanded and relocated its showroom and warehousing facilities to Mt Maunganui. Our new showroom is open 7 days at the new Furniture Hub at 12 Owens Place, Mt Maunganui, Tauranga.

Besp-Oak products are known for their beautiful European white oak, expert dovetail joints and tempered beveled glazing. Because the furniture is hand-crafted to meet exacting European standards, purchasers can be assured of quality and best sustainability practice.
